the premise

Once upon a time, I lived in Europe for a hundred days.

From January to April, 2008, I was lucky enough to live in the most beautiful place in the world - Kasteel Well, The Netherlands. I studied there through Emerson College's study abroad program. I was nineteen years old and in love with the world. brian goes abroad is (was?) my travel blog, which I kept updated regularly throughout the semester to keep record of my adventures. The blog will make the most sense if you start at the beginning and read from the oldest posts to the newest.
Thanks so much for reading.

peace love kasteel

technical difficulties

It figures it would happen - my computer won't start. Naturally. Which is a shame, because I was planning on writing Paris & Berlin blogs during classes this week on my laptop. But alas. Until next week at least, they will have to come from the computer lab - so stay tuned.

travel break

I'm back from ten days pillaging across Western Europe. In those days, we hit up London, Dublin and Paris, and it was an insane whirlwind of laughing, walking, and some of the most incredible things I've ever seen. Expect a blog or two in the coming days - I need to prepare to write what I expect to be behemoths of blog posts.
